I have decided to use this forum to share my observations of how people positively interact with and help other people. We can be intentional in our efforts to positvely impact others. Looking for and sharing obersvations of such positive efforts will cause me and hopefully others to be more intentional in this way.

I had heard about the Martinsburg Square Dance over the years and always wanted to attend. I finally worked it into my schedule on January 23. It is held every other Saturday evening, 8-11 pm at the Martinsburg Community Hall in Knox County about ¼ mile west of Martinsburg on US Rte 62.
I was given a friendly greeting by two ladies as I entered the Community Hall. The admission fe...

I recently reviewed the dances I had the opportunity to lead in 2009. As I did this, it became obvious to me that every dance was part of a celebration or special occasion. It was an honor and a privilege to be a part of these events and one can only be grateful for sharing these special times with many people. Here is a review of these events.

I said sure.
I attended the first service. The worship was great and the...

I have had a number of occasions to lead dances for homeschool groups. Every time the dances have been a great success. These are family based events. There is nothing better than a dance started off with prayer and thanks being given to God for the opportunity to gather together, exercising the freedoms afforded in the United States, and enjoying the company of other friends in faith.
The characteristics of homeshool group events include good participation, politeness, wili...

Square Dance at Malabar Farm - May 2
I had been thinking of going to one of these dances for a couple of years but never committed my schedule to it. As I drove to Malabar Farm I was reminded of God's splendor through admiring His natural creation exemplified in the beauty of the rolling hills, cattle grazing on fresh green grass and sunshine.
When I arrived,...
