Building a Square, Round and Line Dancing Community in Ohio

Over the past nearly 40 years I have interacted with many people, young and old, who enjoy hoedown (traditional) square dancing and line and round dancing. I first experienced line dancing in the early 1970s at 4-H Camp Ohio near Utica. In 1977, I first experienced square and round dancing at an Ohio Farm Bureau Youth Conference in Bluffton, OH. In 1981, I decided to start calling square dances and leading simple line and round dances.
